At EGYCO, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously, so many of our initiatives go beyond what we are required to do by law. By taking steps to reduce the impact of our work on the environment, we can play a positive part in protecting it for the future. Proper planning, allows us to minimize waste, recycling where possible, and we keep our use of toxic and hazardous materials to an absolute minimum, seeking to use environmentally preferable materials from sustainable sources wherever possible.

In order to comply with its legal, regulatory and other business obligations and to be compliant with ADEHSMS guidelines to prevent pollution and continually improve its environmental performance, the Company operates an Environmental Management System (EMS), which complies with the requirement of ISO 14001:2015. As part of this system, all sites will have an Environmental Management program framework with specific, periodically revised SMART objectives and targets and address its aspects and impacts through the development and maintenance of an environmental plan.

Particular Consideration will be given to:

Emissions to air-noise, dust, vibration, fumes and smoke.

Emission to water-fuel, silt and other chemicals

Contaminated land and damage to flora and fauna.

The continuing development, education and training of employees, suppliers and other stakeholders will be a key activity in the implementation of the EMS. Adequate resources will be committed to ensure that environmental targets are achieved. To ensure continual improvement of the Company’s environmental performance, the Management System and the Management Program will be reviewed and updated as necessary at regular intervals.
